The Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 has been developed for both pros and performance oriented hobby cyclists who can appreciate it because of its reliability, perfect single gear ratios, wide range of gears, low maintenance and easy operation; its weight and efficiency are ideal even for pro racing.
The sealed gearbox ensures reliability and durability even under the toughest conditions. The even increments of 13.6% from gear to gear make it possible to always ride at the performance peak. The overall range makes sure that you have the right gear in every situation. Pure fun is guaranteed.
The “XXX one” Hub Mechanism (Information to be updated)
The “XXX one” Hub Mechanism (The gravity-zero freewheel hub system is covered by pending Australian and international patent applications.) but is dure to have ceramic bearings and a carbon hub.
The “X one” Series 5 Hub Mechanism
The “X one” Series 5 Hub Mechanism (The gravity-zero freewheel hub system is covered by pending Australian and international patent applications.) is fitted to all wheels sets from December 2007 onwards. The Series 5 with increased cam angles and spring tensions lock up is more instant. It eliminates any form of backlash/lag at the hub or pedal: This equals zero lag. In simple terms it is like riding a fixed wheel bike with gears. The “X one” creates a pedalling motion like no other freewheel hub, it propells the riders legs through the position of least mechanical advantage at the top and bottom of each pedal stroke. This moment is sometimes refered to as TDC and BDC, the Top Dead Centre and the Bottom Dead Centre.
Our new ISO 150 Disc rear hub brings the time-tested reliability and performance of Chris King hubs to downhill and heavy-duty freeride bikes featuring 150mm x 12mm thru axle rear dropouts. These big bikes get into some serious situations but it’s no concern for the ISO 150 Disc hub. This isn’t a “new” hub, it’s another great hub from King. Same performance. Same durability. Same expectations.
The responsibly light 336-gram hub spins an aluminum hubshell on our proven 19.5mm one-piece constant diameter axle (through the bearings to the dropouts). Our patented RingDrive engagement mechanism has 72 points of contact ensuring nearly instant power transfer while ratcheting through rock gardens, setting up for a drop-off, or pinning the final run-out towards the line. RingDrive is also responsible for that famous King buzz. Who knows, maybe you can take off your bear bell now.*
This design was a challenge. As with all of our products, we wanted the 20mm Thru-Axle Front Disc Hub to be the best that money could buy. Our design criteria were simple: a one piece super strong axle that could be adjusted in the field with a single wrench, without removing the wheel, the toughest bearings possible and it needs to build an excellent wheel while still looking sharp and not weigh in like a stuffed pig.
We had to design an entirely new bearing for this guy. It is about the same size as a one inch headset bearing.

Chris King is not known to jump on the bandwagon of every new design that goes by. While the 24mm QR style hub attachment system is relatively new, we feel that it solves a variety of problems all at once. For some riding styles, the old “quick release skewer” type front hub is just not enough for the job. Along came the thru-axle front hub for bicycles.
Thru-axles came to bicycles from motorcycling. They are very strong and it is a time-tested attachment system. Thru-axles work very well on bicycles too. It’s just a pain to get the wheel on and off to throw your bike in the back of your car. That’s where Maverick’s 24mm QR system is better, two little levers and off comes your front wheel.
Chris King ISO Disc Front Hub
High precision disc hub for design fans! Months of design and testing went into Chris King’s ISO disc hub. During the development process, they adapted the machines to use larger bar stock when they make the hub shells. This manufacturing improvement allowed to increase the spoke flange diameter significantly. A larger spoke flange spreads the spoke holes away from each other. Also you can use shorter spokes to build a more durable, stiffer and stronger wheel. Ultra stiff 19.5 mm axle, multiple sealed high-end bearings. CNC-machined, anodized hub shell. Easy adjustment with hex tip screwdriver. 5 years warranty manufacturer warranty.
Chris King Classic Front Hub
Ultimate lightweight and high performance precision front hub with multiply sealed bearings. This hub is extremely durable! With only 112g it’s hard to believe that the hub is also the toughest hub out there. Offered with quick-release axles. 5 years warranty from the manufacturer!
